Educational Principles

Gunma Prefectural College of Health Sciences fosters nursing personnel and radiology technicians as health and medical care professionals who strive to provide medical practices that are grounded in scientific evidence based on advanced, systematized, and specialized knowledge and techniques while preserving the human dignity of the patients, as well as work to always achieve optimal health conditions. It also produces research results that can be used in the future not only within Gunma Prefecture, but also internationally. What is more, the college takes part in the creation, development, and dissemination of evidence-based practice (EBP) of the highest caliber within Japan, and lays a foundation of human resources who can newly contribute to technological innovations in health, medical care, and welfare settings.

Educational Objectives

The educational objectives of Gunma Prefectural College of Health Sciences is to have its students learn how to contribute to maintaining and raising the level of health of the various people who live in different regions over the course of their lifetimes through the lifestyles and cultures of the residents of Gunma Prefecture, where the college is located.
Through this process it cultivates in them a well-rounded character and has them undertake their individual roles within a changing society and deepen their understanding of and interest in the people who live their own lives while coexisting with nature and fostering a distinctive culture,.
It also instills in them specialized knowledge and skills that are backed by scientific evidence, as well as excellent faculties for logical judgment. The college also lays a foundation for health and medical care professionals who are capable of developing and providing high quality medical practices while constantly preserving the human dignity of their patients.
