One of the major characteristics of the Graduate School of Nursing is that it was the first nursing graduate school in Japan to establish a Nursing Education Field. This is designed to cultivate nursing staff who can coordinate in-hospital education—or in other words human resources capable of overseeing Staff Development (SD)—as well as human resources who can assist with Faculty Development (FD) for nursing teaching faculty for nursing staff training institutes such as colleges and vocational schools.
